New Vendor Onboarding

Welcome to Kimball Construction! We’re excited to begin working with you and appreciate your partnership. To get started, please complete and return the required onboarding documents at your earliest convenience. Step 1. Submit & Sign Your Documents

Step 2. Keep Your Profile Up To Date

At Kimball Construction, we maintain a detailed profile for each of our vendors, including contact information and the specific trades they perform. This helps us stay organized and ensures we can match the right team to the right job. Some of this information is available in your free Buildertrend account. To update or confirm the trades you perform, please email Kimball Construction management directly.

Step 3. Bid on Projects

When Kimball Construction needs services, we send out bid requests directly to the contact information we have on file for each vendor. This ensures you’re notified promptly when opportunities arise in your trade. Keeping your contact details up to date helps us include you in relevant bidding opportunities.

Step 4. Perform Your Work

Once a bid is awarded, Kimball Construction will issue a purchase order outlining the agreed-upon scope, pricing, and terms. This serves as formal authorization to proceed with the work. Vendors are expected to perform the work according to the purchase order and project schedule. Clear communication and adherence to the outlined terms help ensure a smooth and successful project.

Step 5. Get Paid

 

Kimball Construction pays vendors according to their preferred payment method. If a vendor has signed up for ePayments through Bill.com, payments are made via direct deposit at no cost to the vendor. For those not enrolled, we issue payment by mailing a check to the address on file. Please note that Kimball Construction does not have access to any of your financial information—Bill.com handles all sensitive data securely. To ensure prompt payment, we recommend that vendors keep their payment details up to date.

On all commercial projects and on residential projects where a notice of right to lien has been sent to the Owner, Kimball Construction requires a Conditional Lien Waiver to be signed before making payments. Signing is effortless. As part of our payment process, we will send you a form that you can sign on BuilderTrend. If you don’t use BuilderTrend, don’t worry, you can complete a lien waiver form by clicking here without signing up for BuilderTrend.

Kimball Constructions standard payment terms are 2% 10 Net 45. If you would like to request alternative payment terms, fill out the request form by clicking here.
